Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and National Planning says the budget passed by the President was a better document than the first budget returned by the National Assembly. Senator Udoma Udo-Udoma, made the statement while responding to question on whether there are items in the budget that reflected the allegations of padding by the former chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Honourable Abdulmumin Jubrin.
“The Executive sent the budget to the National Assembly, but was not satisfied with the initial output by the legislature,which reworked it and returned it to the Presidency,” he explained.
