Talk about some ladies making their country proud? "The Final Five" US Team.

Talk about some ladies making their country proud? Well, you've got them in Rio Olympics.

Five American ladies in the women's gymnastics final, yes the "Final Five". They were magnificent, dominant and full of fire in their veins, they were simply fierce.

Here they are, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez are the “Final Five.”

According to Scott Allen of Washington Post, while the rest of the world’s gymnasts would probably like to hope that Tuesday was the last time they’ll have to compete against this group of Americans, who finished more than eight points ahead of second-place Russia, the United States will go for three straight team golds in 2020. They just might be known as the “First Four” by then.

USA Gymnastics reports that the “Final Five” nickname was selected because gymnastics teams are being reduced from five to four members for the next Olympics. The team also noted that five “happens to be the number of U.S. Olympic teams that retiring national team coordinator Martha Karolyi has overseen” since she succeeded her husband, Bela, in 2001.

Karolyi’s final team might be the most dominant in women’s gymnastics history. When the “Magnificent Seven” won the United States’ first team in 1996, they edged the Russians by eight-tenths of a point. When the “Fierce Five” won gold four years ago, they finished 5.066 points ahead of Russia. This year’s margin of 8.209 points was an Olympic record.

The U.S. built such a commanding lead through three rotations that Biles probably could’ve done nothing but somersaults during her floor exercise — the Americans’ final event of the night. Instead, she posted a 15.800, the best score of the competition on floor. Eight-point wins just don’t happen in gymnastics, but the “Final Five” made it look easy.
