Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state has declared Tuesday, September 27 and Wednesday, September 28 as public holiday for the conduct of the gubernatorial election. The governor announced the holiday at an event organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress in his honour, for making the labour movement proud.
He stated that the purpose of the holidays is to enable workers travel to where they registered as voters to exercise their franchise. All attention will now be shifted to the state for the rescheduled polls moved from September 10, to September 28.
