Neighbors beat man’s corpse after he killed himself. Despite the fact that suicide is actually frowned upon by the society at large, some people still end up taking the decision to take their own lives. For reasons ranging from pain and depression, to seeing suicide as a ‘coward’s way out’ when they are faced with life’s issues, most people who commit suicide, rarely consider what the loved ones whom they are leaving behind would think.

Sometimes it can be assumed that before a person makes the decision to take their life, they don’t openly communicate with loved ones, at least to prepare them for the impending pain. They end up taking their loved ones by surprise, even though it is said that death is inevitable. In the Shikoye village of Kakamenga county in Kenya, a 36-year-old man identified as Nimrod Alusiola was found hanging from the roof of his house, and his neighbors proceeded to give his corpse a thorough beating (as if the dead man can feel it) saying that it was an abomination to take your life in their community.
